'Riff
Raff' is a Hawker Sea Fury built in England during the early 1950's for the Royal Air Force. The type was developed at the
end of World War II as a fighter and was designed to be carrier-based. It never saw action during WWII but was used on a limited
basis during the Korean conflict. The original versions had Bristol Centaurus engines with 5-bladed props and developed more
than 2000 horsepower. 'Riff Raff' has a Wright 3350 engine with a 4-bladed Corsair prop. This engine develops more than 3000
horsepower and is favored by most Sea Furys flying in the United States today. 'Riff Raff' was purchased in 1996 by current
owner Mike Keenum and has been a Reno racer since 1998.
